Default Black GTS green interior

Just want some insight on what you guys think about a car I am interested in.
it is a black GTS with a full leather interior in green.
Its odd and rare but I guess not the ideal combo!? Will this be a hard car to sell?
just dont want to invest in something that down the line few is interested in.

go buy it, then post pictures and we can tell you how much we like it.
Really what matters is if you like it.
or just buying it for the investment/flipping aspect

Well not that easy for me. Its a stretch and to make the leap I want to feel I invest hard earned money well.
I like it but will others down the line, that is also a factor for me.

Interesting color combinations are very valuable regardless of the hues. This is what makes Porsche's special. 000 Magazine has showings nationwide of interesting color combo's. Some can take your breath away but all in all they are very cool.
Interiors can be swapped out much easier than repainting the car. Bonus points ...it's a GTS and I'm sure it's the only one ever made and that makes it special.

This is a full leather car, just about all panels are in green leather so interior swap is no go for me if I buy it.
He is asking 55000 usd for it.

....go with what Vanster said.

Really, its hard to game the market right now; but for a long term on a 928 you might consider:
1) You have to love the car from an intrigued point of view.
2) Part of your investment philosophy has to include maintenance projections.
3) Cars are rarely a safe investment
4) For a 928; quirky/rare colors are attractive to buyers
5) "Less is more". What I mean is: No sunroof, no rear air, no rub strips, and yes no Automatic are cherished non-features for any 928 addict.
6) Must be as close to original as possible. A car that has been hacked up with 3rd party electronics is a huge detractor from value in my opinion. And get those original wheels on.
I am sure there are other people on here with a more sophisticated analysis.

But really; don't buy a 928 as an investment... just buy it for the experience of ownership. Alert: They are highly addictive cars. I have yet to meet a person on rennlist that has "only bought one" in their lifetime.

Just my two cents from a guy in the nosebleed seats.

Thanks🙂

I am not new to 928:s. I used to own a 89 GT and I currently own a 79 5 speed that I am restoring. I have a thread on that on the ******** site.
The GTS has always been a car I have looked extra at even though rhe early cars are my favorite.

I will give it some serious thought👍

I'd buy such a car just for the interior.

If your #1 concern is long term collectability, that's a fools errand. But typically all black is what investors look for because it's "safe". This drives me nuts, hearing from folks who would rather have anything but a black interior, but buy it anyway because it will be worth more down the road.

If you like it, buy it, and enjoy the car.

It is not my number one concern but for a mere mortal without millions in the bank you would be a fool to not be wary of an investment of sucha scale especially when it comes to a "old" top end car.

I will take a serious look at the car and see what I will do.
Thanks👍
