Default Different warning light modules - are they interchangeable?

I found a spare warning light module but it is a different size, and the part # is also different.
The one in my car is 928.641.602.04, and the one I found is 928.641.602.01
The one out of my car is the small one.
Any chance that they are interchangeable?
Cheers

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a spare one of the small ones if you end up needing one.

I dont know for sure BUT once the smoke comes out of the wires its very difficult to put it back in.
That said I would put your box in another car and see if works

The one out of my car is fried - resistors are melted. The idea is to get another one - fix the resistors on mine, and see what happens. If it work, then I have a spare. If not, I'll try the "new" one.

It won’t and I would not try to do it. 92864160201 is for cars 78-86 while the 04 is for newer cars and PET does not show it as superseding the old one. Both are NLA so you will either need to repair what’s broken inside (resistors are easy to swap just make sure you get the correct resistances). Alternatively, contact 928 International.
