Default need help sourcing ECU harness pin

In process of recreating/repairing the wiring harness for my 1986 928s (1,257th of 1986) vin 861257. The Crank Position Sensor wire is being replaced and I need to source the pins that will insert into the ECU connector. Looking high and low and unsuccessful to date. Suggestion's welcome. See pic's of the ECU connector, one removed pin.

The indentation in the center of the pin is where the locking bar tab inserts to hold the pin in place.

Another view of the hole the locking tab inserts into.

The white bar is the pin locking mechanism. The tabs on the bar insert into the pins, locking them in place when the bar is in place.

Front the ECU connector

back of the ECU connector. The white raw wire was previously connected to the removed pin shown above.

Look into the 944 PET, from slide 902-50.
A lot of connectors are drawn on it, buy I can't find the one that you are looking for.

I have some of those but they are in a box after a move and I don't know where they are, just now. I am happy to send some once I find them but, if you're in a real rush here's a link to some (just slightly different) connectors that will do you right: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/571-964273-2-CT

The connectors in that link have an extra "spring" around the clamping bit but should fit in just fine.

Cheers

Thank you for responding. Those mouser connectors, I have. They are useful for the injectors and other 3 and 4 port connectors throughout the engine compartment, but they lack the 'hole' where the locking tabs insert in the pin that the ECU connector utilizes.. If the ones you have have the hole on the 'top', like the ones in the pic, I would MUCH appreciate 3.

On the 944, PET shows a similar PN: 999 652 456 22. The drawing doesn't show if the hole is present for locking.

After looking more carefully at the picture you provided, I don't think that I have those connectors. I thought that maybe on removal the little tang got pushed in the "wrong" way. I remade the harness for my 944 and was able to use the connectors from the link that I sent you and, incorrectly, thought that they would be useable across the models.

Good luck

NOTE with the pin you posted the flat blade thats bent into the connector should be standing proud of the pin body.

With a pin tool / awl tool you can spread the crimp open, then remove the broken wires,
Then with a small flat blade screw driver can press the body of the pin flat,
and the blade out ,
reform the fingers if needed,
then solder the wires into the pin,
then press the pin back into its position so it snaps into place.

Excellent, you have nailed the current plan, if I can't source a replacement. I've had the solder idea for awhile but had not given up yet. Great minds think alike.

By the way, the mouser link and the filtering capability on the site is awesome. Thanks much!

Think I found (after looking thru 900 others)
ER_CD_925595_R2_925595-C-1263849.pdf (mouser.com)
925595-2 TE Connectivity / AMP | Mouser

need to find some metric calipers, my current ones are english and asking cortana to convert is painful.

Thank you again for the mouser.com link. have looked there before but was not aware of the filter functionality.

Good news/Bad news
good news: found them
bad news: min order is 3,750 or $517 worth

Update: Went on mouser chat and pled my case, was transferred to Tony and after a 6 min gap where Tony looked for an alternate part, he found similar pin where order quantity 1 was permitted. Mouser.com just jump on my rating system by 10 points!
