Hope I can make it this year, I have a house up on Lake George where my 928 now resides. Up most weekends spring through fall. Lake is melting nicely👍
Cruise past Chestertown on the Harley and the 928 couple of times a month during spring-fall down Graphite Mountain Rd. Winters are rough up there.

I bought an old sailboat last fall (an easy thing to do), and arranged for this dock space (not an easy thing to do - nor cheap). Warner Bay. Haven't seen the boat on the water yet, it's on a cradle at Harris Bay Yacht Club. A heavy-displacement, full-keel Island Packet 27. Two-cylinder Yanmar diesel looks freshly rebuilt. How have I come to own four diesel engines?
You don't happen to have any spare dock space, do you?

Good to hear - don't disappoint me! Actually, one way or another let's get together this year, somewhere. How about here:

I shall be there! Not sure what I’ll be in/on. I might ride the motorcycle up, sadly I don’t have the old 928 anymore. But the guy who does is doing a full restoration, so she’ll have happier days ahead. I do now have a Baja bug, but that needs work, not sure it’ll be done by the time camp comes around. Either way, I’m coming!

I've been getting my fine German vehicles out for their Spring runs. Today's run was unexpected, but it ran like a top. An 11,000 lb top.
How's it looking at the border with the Great White North? Miss you guys.

That's quite a surprise for late April Kurt!
I know that parts of Québec (south) had some snow too today. Up to 15 cm at some place.
Fortunately, we didn't get anything here (Gatineau).

Curt and all,
Second year in a row I will not be able to attend. Bummer. I was looking forward to the spirited "Fun Runs" north of Chestertown and the tech sessions with the great advise from all the 928 experts. Last Camp I attended Mr. Merlin pointed out that my '79 OB original fuel lines needed replacement so ordered up some Gregg Brown lines and installed them.
Hopefully next year??

I had my annual dream - or nightmare - about Camp 928 last night. Nancy wakes me from a nap and tells me people have arrived, but I've done nothing to prepare! Not as bad as the nightmares about being at a wedding as the photographer, and realizing I'd not brought any memory cards for the cameras.
Guess I'd better start soon. So should you! Get your cars in tip-top shape, now! I'm reminded of scenes from the notorious bog at Watkins Glen long ago, where the assembled crazies would chant "If it don't move, burn it!"
The last vestiges of the late Spring snow melted last Sunday. Took the plow off the Unimog, gave it some fresh $6 diesel (yowza!), and drove it up to the top of the ridge on the back road. Nancy and I are going for a sail this afternoon.
Two new things: a freshly. paved driveway, and a new refrigerator that makes "craft" ice, apparently meant for the sophisticated whiskey drinker. Just for you, Shawn. It will be the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. Stick around and watch it on the big screen. I shall get out my box of Ferrari souvenirs; I have several years before having to switch allegiance to Porsche/Red Bull.

Hm. Looking like an 8 hr transit...not much shorter than when I head 'home' to Massachusetts-- but it's been many years since I've done that in the 928! Have to admit, grown accustomed to some luxuries on the long-hauls, and dog-boarding doesn't auger well for breaking it into shorter scenic legs.
Regardless, looks like I better get 'roud tuit when it comes to draining my tank and connecting the last few electric terminals...and then check tire date-stamps...

There was a change in plans here. I can't make it for the weekend, although I may be able to be there Thursday and part of Friday. I still have to get the car from Milton, VT, and it will be on a trailer after suffering an electrical problem (i.e.: fire) in the area of the alternator. I have a known good harness and a new alternator, and I'd love to get it on a lift Friday morning and get some more experienced eyes than mine on it.
