Default Transmission Leak and Vacuum Issue Solved!

So my transmission has been leaking even thought the gasket was just 2 years old and the car sat 9 months while I was away. Replaced the pan and gasket and tightened to spec (8NM), WHILE BEING CAREFL TO TAKE MY TIME IN TIGHTENING IN A CROSS HATCH FORM, TAKING TIME FOR THE GASKET TO SETTLE…ETC

car was fine for a day then a puddle again! Also for some off reason the RPM which was rock solid at 675 lifted to 800! 🤦‍♂️ FML

Lifted it and checked everything and it was bone dry except a leak forming around the rear right bolt even at an angle! Cleaned observed and the ATF seemed to start just around that corner of the pan and gasket. Was gonna call it a day when I noticed that the connecting hose to the tank was a little wet and not fully inserted tight! Cleaned everything and tightened the connection. Done. RPM back to normal and car bone dry.

Lesson is that that line not only was leaking on top of the reservoir which ran down and made it look like the gasket was leaking, but also introduced a vacuum leak somehow. Just thought I share a lesson about that connection.
