Default Jetronic compatibility

I have a 1980 928 manual with a Bosch Jetronic controller (928.618.106.01, also has 020 002 101 on it)

Can this be replaced with a Bosch Jetronic 928.618.106.04? or is there a compatibility issue?

Is the Bosch Jetronic controller plug & play or does it need to be programmed/flashed, etc?

Thanks!

All 81-84 brains are interchangeable and will work fine in an 80. (They are all analog and have no memory.)

1980 has unique fuel programming and ignition distributor curves - likely because of the lack of air-pump?
