Default Install OEM radio in cut up center console

I am planning to install the original Porsche Blaupunkt Heidelberg CR. Similar to the one that once came with the car. However it turns out that the spot were it should go in to the center console has been cut by one of the previous owners. This was done very often with many cars in order to fit a different radio. I do not think there are many uncut center consoles left.

I have enclosed an example of how an uncut version should look like.

I have also included a picture of my own center console. You can clearly see there is something missing.

I am probably not the first one who stumbles up this. Has any one gone trough the same process before? Installing the original radio in a center console that has been cut. I am very curious to hear how others have solved this issue. What would be the best way to install the OEM radio in this cut up center console?

Years ago, I discovered the original Porsche radio installation kit which actually come with small bezels that snap onto the console to allow a dual post radio to fit into a din opening. At the time back in 2014 they were still available and fairly cheap. They were discontinued but I believe Roger bought them up. He may still have some.
