I didn't see the sig, but that just seems a little harsh.

I'm sure no one would get banned for a sig with a "praise the lord" kinda vibe...

Things that are seen as positive are usually considered ok, because they do not push anyone's buttons. But something sarcastic bothers people. It's all the same free speech. It's just that some
speech bothers people. But happy, holy stuff might offend some people just as much as someone
making fun of it.

It's people taking religion too seriously that is the cause of a lot of the conflict in the world today.

Better just to have a little laugh at it all, even if you are the most moral and ethical person around...

BC....i agree.....

He did take it to the next level and probably should have went private email ....which is really why he got banned...

your quote says it all....
"It's people taking religion too seriously that is the cause of a lot of the conflict in the world today."

reminds me of a cartoon i once saw....two armies charging towards one an other...with both of the leaders screaming ..fear not...God is on our side....

BCDavis- I agree. Everybody needs to make their own choices. There is a time and a place for everything, and IMHO the Rennlist is not the place to air your religious (or anti-religious) beliefs.

I think the reply with the foul language was the thing that got this Rennlister booted.

I actually found it somewhat amusing because to believe in the existence of Satin .... one must accept that there is a God (higher power). Because I believe you can not have one with out the other . Adolescence (no matter at what age it occurs) is a bitch , trying to establish a sense of self by rebelling against the norm . At least on this forum we know who the higher power happens to be ........ J D , now if we could just get him driving a 928 of his own . Would that mean in heaven all cars are 928s ?? or would that be hell ?

By EvilEvo's repsonse to Johan 90 928 S4's post, I would have to say EvilEvo was anticipating this reaction from someone and was intentionally looking for a fight. Not much of a fight, the ref called it in the first round! His potty mouth is what got him K-O'd.

I'm guessing the offensive posts and sigs were deleted by JD.
So I'm only making assumptions here.
People can debate things all they want, but keep it civil.
As soon as things escalate, then you have problems...

I want the bouncing boobie avatar thread to come back!

Jim -

Why would you need to believe in God to believe in satin? I know a women with satin sheets and she doesn't... Oh wait - you meant Satan, didn't you? Never mind.

Well - Jim...

IF I HAD a 928 - threads like this would be running amuck - as I'd be out driving it, rather then sitting here typing furiously on the computer to try to get a client report out with one typing hand, and replying to EvilEvo on the other..!!

Actually - I think you have a valid point....

So how many silk worms had to get boiled to make one pair (why pair ?) of silk boxers ?

"Pair"..?? I think becase they are wrapped two per package - unless you shop a Walmart - there, they often have "pairless" specials. I think they are seconds - which, I guess in a way - would still be pairs - as seconds are two?? Hmmm.....

Ummm - depending on how how BIG the pair is - a single cocoon can yield about 1,000 YARDS of thread...?? With my waist being a "32 (on a good day) - I'm pretty sure I could get a real pair out of one cocoon - or maybe a pair of them - unless they are seconds....

Aren't you glad you asked???

J D the 1,000 yards I believe is a single filament of worm goop ...... many such strands are spun together to make a single thread then woven together to make cloth . Even your size 32 would require the demise of many many worms and a whole lot of mulberry leaves .. but the feeling of that fine silk caressing ........ priceless
