You've all probably seen it, but I like posting links.

Nick,

I have already test fitted and driven a few miles with 18x10 with a spacer to clear the brake calipers on the front with 265/35-18. It is tight, and looks like it may rub... But guess what... no rub.. Note that Chuck said his rub BUT HIS CAR IS LOWERED... now I wonder if that has anything to do with it..? Maybe a Geometry class may point out some things if the lowering is taken into account.

My car has stock ride height, and I have driven Laguna, and Thunderhill, and the wheels have not rubbed in front at any of the tracks with the 50ET 18x8 in front running 225/40-18 Kumho 712 or Conti Sport Contact 2 (N2) rubber. And I was not creeping through the Corkscrew at Laguna, nor at Thunderhill.

Another thing to pay attention to is the tire profile, not all are the same. my test of 265 on the front was done with Kumho's. I am now running Conti's. I plan on switching to Pilot PS2's when I am ready for a next set of tires, so I will have to recheck the profile..

I think Seth and I discussed 5-spokes at Devek Days last year after him seeing them on my car, if he is the same Seth with the red GT, and the boosted Audi..

Now, if I can finish my brackets for those AP 6 pistons, and not have any clearance issues, then I will be very happy.. They may rub then, as the AP Calipers are different from the Brembo's.... We shall see...

Cheers

Richard:

I am that same Seth. Thanks for your words then. For everyone's info, I run 225 front and 285 rear, stock ride height. Pirelli PZERO.

Nick,

A 1/4 inch or 6mm spacer will clear the front calipers if you want to use the 18x10 ET65 rim in front. To use the 18x8 ET 50 in front you do not need to use a spacer.
