testing RDK sensors on wheels
I just got a set of manhole wheels for my 91 S4 from a fellow Rennlister. A couple of the wheels have some damage to the RDK sensors inside the wheel and I'm wondering if there is a way to test the sensors for air tightness without mounting a tire on it. I'm not concerned about the RDK sensors working, I will not be using the system, but I am concerned about having to go through several iterations of mounting and dismounting tires to track down a leaking sensor. Also, if they are leaking, what is the best way to seal them up? Welding up the area, etc? If there is another thread that deals with this, I'm afraid I missed it. Any help would be appreciated.

abrade the area wipe it down with acetone,
blow it dry then cover the sensors/ rim with 3M structural adhesive,
it comes in a dual tube, mix it well,
it has a work life of about 20 mins .
I used this to seal the spokes in my Moto Guzzi Eldorado. it worked perfect
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP420NS
NOTE test fit the rim to the car you plan to use the wheels on before you do this.
