New Motor Mounts Improved My 5 Speed Shifting

I recently replaced the motor mounts on my 1987 928 with a 5 speed transmission and LSD. The only other thing that I did at this time was replace the oil pan gasket. The old mounts appeared to be the Anchor solid rubber mounts.
Prior to the new motor mounts, shifting was always stiff. Not just hard to move the shifter into gear, but requiring good timing to wait long enough for the synchro's, but not too long. It never felt "good", just functional. It's been like that since I acquired the car, and the transmission had been rebuilt, including the synchro's, a few thousand miles before my purchase. Nothing has ever made a difference in that (new transmission mounts, Swepco gear lube, new clutch, etc).
Immediately after installing the new motor mounts, the shifting is very noticeably improved. Both upshifting and down shifting. Smooth and fast, without delay. I wasn't expecting it nor looking for it, but it was such a big difference that it really stood out. It now feels more like I would expect a modern car to shift, but maybe with a little more authority to the indents. This is a very unexpected side effect of putting in new motor mounts, considering the rigid relationship between the motor/torque-tube/transmission, but also very welcome.
Have others experienced this as well?

EDIT missed that new trans mounts were fitted.
Disregard/( whats the condition of the trans mounts ?
you should be able to fit your thumb between the bottom of the trans and the cross member.)
NOTE new MM and trans mounts will lift the drive line assembly back to original ,
this could reduce the pressure of the foam pad rubbing on both the front/rear shift rods.

From my first post:
Again, from my first post:
I've spoken to one other 5 speed owner who has experienced the same change in performance after installing new motor mounts. So, for those of you with 5 speeds that are experiencing "slow shifting", it might be worth taking a look at your motor mounts.

This is what I used:
Manufacturer: Professional Parts Sweden
Manufacturer Part #: 62438657
OEM Part#: 1378657 (sometimes marked "Green" and is the "softer" of the two Volvo mounts that will fit)
Cost: $28.79 each
Several manufacturers make the mount, but they are all in the same general price range. Available from many auto parts suppliers. Due to the very low cost and how relatively easy the entire replacement is, I chose to take a chance on the Volvo mounts. So far, so good. Certainly a huge improvement over the old solid rubber mounts.
FCP Euro even lists the mount as fitting the Porsche 928 and mentions the locating pin modification (although I chose to drill a hole for the locating pin rather than remove the pin):
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/por...-vaico-1378657
For reference, the current list of part number cross references:
Anchor: 2698SR (solid rubber)
Volvo:1378657 (softer)
Volvo: 1329428 (harder)
Corteco: 601420 (hydraulic)
Vaico: V95-0032
