Water on my accelerator pedal when it rains

I am getting a drip of water right from above my accelerator pedal when it rains hard. My cowl drip tray is one of those that goes only halfway across (82 euro). I put some glow dye in a bucket of water and poured it in the cowl yesterday under the driver wiper motor and the water was dripping down on the backside of the vent motor which is located directly above accelerator pedal. Too much stuff in the there to see it’s direct leak point. Any ideas? My firewall drain flap on the passenger side is clean and there are no leaks in passenger footwell. I am going to buy a full cowl tray from Jerry to maybe help move the water drip down point to the sides. Gunar

I experienced this for the first time on the way to Frenzy last week. It was raining like HELL at the time, but it only happened a couple times.

I know someone will chime in on this, but Pretty sure the cowl area is the culprit, so you're on the right track.
This happened on both my 79 and GTS. There is a rubber trap door/flap/drain on the firewall back behind the coolant reservoir. (Just below if I remember correctly)
I got the cars off the floor, was able to open the flap and of course a bunch of leaves/etc came out on my face. Pulled debris out as best I could, flushed the rest out with water.
No problem after that. When it happened later on the GTS, I knew the routine, but that time was prepared and did NOT put my face directly under the flap....![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
I'm sure someone else has a better way, but that was my "procedure".... Good luck!!

best way to clean out the cowl well is to do a blower box service .
put a towel over the CE panel after you have laid it down,
then drop the blower box.
NOTE the blower motor will also drop out through the same hole

Did the blower box reseal several years ago when I put a new blower in. My flap on passenger outer fire wall is clean. I’m guessing it’s coming in the heater box seal based on other threads I’ve read. I’ve already had the dash out before and don’t want to do that again at this time. Maybe the full cowl drip tray and seal Jerry is sending will help redirect the water and help
