Shark2626-thanks so much! I just placed a big order on that site for all the relays, save for the really expensive ones(the 100-200 dollar ones all run stuff that shouldnt impact the car starting). I'll swap all those out when they come, try to fire, and report from there. Great resource here, thanks folks!

The tanks are big; 23 gallons...putting a couple gallons in may not be enough to move the needle. Maybe try a couple bottles of HEET to take any water out of the tank if has sat for any amount of time.

NOTE when you turn on the key and the fuel gauge needle doesnt move at all,
the sender is the most likely suspect .
In a properly working system the needle will move a bit, or more.
to indicate what the tank level is

Thanks. I'm less concerned with the sending unit playing with the gauge nicely at this point, its a minor issue. The car fires, I know fuel is being delivered, and it has spark. Once I can get it to hold an idle, I'll proceed further.
