Question Injector question

I'm working on trying to get my '80, that's been sitting for 15 years, running. I just would like it to be able to move under its own power. I'll need to be able to get it out of the way for when I'm ready to pull my '86.5 out of the garage.

It has horribly bad gas in it and the entire fuel system will need to be flushed to start with. I'll be replacing what's needed after that. I pulled the injectors today so I can have them cleaned and noticed two dissimilar injectors in one fuel rail. There are two injectors like the one on the right and all the others are like the one on the left. Did one version supersede the other? The car ran fine years ago with these mismatched injectors.

The left is original the right is not. What really matters is if their flow rates are identical and if they are the same impedance.

Otherwise I would look for a few good spare injectors or getting some hat adapters and fitting later gen II Bosch injectors.

The L jet can run high impedance injectors without issue as the peak and hold drivers it uses are way stronger than the saturated drivers used in the LH systems.

Thanks Blake. I'll see what the injector place says after they clean them. A few of them look fairly rough. Hopefully some of them are salvageable.

Usually they can be saved. The death knell is generally when the coil inside burns out. But even now there are options if the coil is burnt out https://www.gbreman.com/products-all

They were in bad shape, but the injector place got them cleaned up. All injectors flow within 3% now. I found what appears to be the oddball injectors on ebay. They seem to be an fj15 or fj646. I'm going to go ahead and use them since all I need is for the car to be able to run well enough to move around in the driveway.
