Hi - is the fuel injector pintle cap on a '87 928s4 unique to this model, or are they interchangeable with other injectors, say VW or M/Benz or such?

Or, can the existing caps be removed without damaging them - or - the new o-rings slipped over the lip on the cap?

Reason for asking: I have new o-rings but not pintle caps. My previous order from Roger took 1.5 months to make it from Dallas to Brisbane, and I don't want to wait so long again to finish my refresh.

The pintle caps are generic gen II Bosch caps. Any parts store should have a kit to redo them.

Usually the kits contain o rings, filters, and the pintle caps themselves.

One thing to note is that the S4 uses special thick lower O rings that you can get from the dealer if you have trouble getting them otherwise.

The kit's part number is 92811090400 or 1-287-010-708 and comes with the correct bits to do the job.
