I just purchased a 928gts - 1994 in Japan. The Japanese owners manual does not have anything about the fusebox. My ABS light came on, the lights went out on my information on my speed, etc; also, my lights went out on my door locks. any suggestions????
thanks

The above link will take you to fuse/relay charts for your GTS.
The easiest thing to do initially is to access the fuse panel in the passenger side footwell, and look for a blown fuse: numbers 7, 10, 16 could be responsible( in an '88, check the link for '94) - easy to check them all.

Hey, tell us what it's like to own/register a 928 in Japan. How are the roads, speed limits, traffic, other drivers etc.? Are there Porsche clubs or anything like that? It would be interesting to know.
'94 GTS? Nice. Color? Left hand drive? Does it have cats?
Thanks.

I have only had the 94-gts for 1 week. It has 33,000 kilometers and the color is "deep Blue". I will post picture later. It has left hand steering with automatic transmission. No dents or scratches. Japanese folks care more about the looks than anything else. Fortunately I got the maintenance records showing routine maintenance. In the last 5 years, it was driven only 5,000km.
Of course you know we drive on the left side in Japan. It cost about $1.00/5 kilometers to drive on the freeway.Speed limit is about 110km. Side roads are 2-4 lanes but with speed limits of 70km. People normally use trains.

Try fuse 25. That covers interior lights and instruments on the GTS. I never noticed if it effected the door lock posts.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

Mina-sama (most polite form for gentlemen)
Domo Arigato Gozaimasta (most polite form for thank you)
It was fuse 25 but it has a short. Any suggestions where to begin.

If the fuse blows after you replace it the first place I'd look would be the light above your rear view mirror. It's held in place by a spring loaded button on each side and you should be able to remove it with your fingers or a small screw driver. If the hot side touches the frame it will blow the fuse.
