Default throttle body rubber mount

I'm trying to replace the rubber mounts but am unsure of where they are...is one mounts to the V and the other two mount to the bracket on either side...i've looked at various pic of 928 throttle bodies and only see these

There are 3 - one on each upper side under the side tabs of the throttle body, and one down in the V under the throttle body "boat", which is tricky to reach (it is in the rear). Use a flat 10 mm wrench to get the nut off. Once all nuts are off, then you must yank very herd to get the TB off - it will feel like there are more fastensers, but there are not. You can use a tool for leverage to pry it up.

Here are some pictures showing the TB and boat from my 86:

Note - my rubber bumpers were broken - they just show where they go in the pictures.

Note i have yet to locate long enough mounts from Porsche, vendors or other OEM. All the ones i have found are too short for the throttle cable bracket - let me know if you find the solution 😁

If your referring to the ones that Linderpat is showing, they are the same as use for the Air Box mounts, Roger has them in a universal fit, cut threaded shafts to length if needed.

thanks for the reply...so I don't have to take off the intake?
It is a '81 Porsche 928...I rebuilt the EFI and now the intake air box is 1/4" above the air flow sensor...
the mount as you can tell is completely flattened...

Hmm, you really do need to post more pictures and be more descriptive of what you are talking about at this point.

that doesn't look OEM to me. If the mount has sheared you will see a flat disc which was bonded to the rubber. Yours is domed as if someone just pressed something into the hole, not even a screw

I have the remnants of the disk

I talked to Roger at 928 r US and suggested I use a screwdriver to "tap" it but maybe a thin 13 m.m. wrench will get it out I tried a mini-nail gun but it was too tight!!

No, that hex head is under the disk and does not come out - do not try. The way I have gotten those sheared disks out is with vice grips - grabbing the edges and turning it out. If that does not work, then dremmel a slot and use a screw driver. The disk is very thin. This sort of thing happens all the time with these rubber bumper screws. I do not think you can get it out without removing the boat (TB), and everything that entails. Are you due for a top end refresh?
