Door locks out of sync

Door locks out of sync
Ok - this may qualify for stupid award. I have watched the Porsche video for adjusting electric door locks.
my driver and passenger door motors, according to the video, are out of sync. This is based on the little tabs and their recesses in the top of the motor, and the position of the motor and ball/socket.
this YouTube should provide explanation. I tried to unplug the passenger motor and run the drivers side to the next 1/2 turn, thinking this would catch them up to each other, but as soon as I plug the pass motor back in, it advances 1/2 turn.
any thoughts?
thanks

State of locks
Hoping some additional info might help. Here is a chart of the actions I am taking and what is happening. My brain is not wired to think like this so I am looking for someone much smarter than I to decipher....
Both doors are closed for this test.
The driver window is up so I did not record values when moving the inside **** on drivers side.
Both motors operate as they should.
Pass motor indexed as to porsche video.
If one door is open, the motor makes a full turn as it is supposed to do (on either side)
PASS SIDE DR SIDE
Rotate inside **** towards front Lock tab goes down
Lock tab goes up
Motor goes to unlock pos
Rotate inside **** towartds rear Lock tab goes up
Lock tab goes down
Motor moves to lock position
Turn outside key towards front (clockwise) Lock tab goes down
Lock tab goes up
Motor goes to lock position
Turn outside key Counter clockwise Lock tab goes up
Lock tab goes down
Motor goes to unlock
Lock tab goes down Turn Key Counterclockwise
Motor goes to unlock Lock tab goes Up
Lock tab goes up Turn key clockwise (towards back)
Motor goes to unlock Lock tab goes down
I can't see the motor on the drivers side since it is not disassembled. Hoping that the behaviors listed above are enough to see what is going on.
Thanks all!

From your signature, this appears to be happening to your '83 928?
The video does a good job of demonstrating what is happening to you, if indeed you are seeing the same bizzare behavior as in the video.
Some ideas from what I read in this thread:
1982 central locking issues
1. Could one of the motors be wired backwards?
2. Check that you have the correct relay.
3. Try your syncing approach with a simple relay #53 and if that works, put back the correct relay.
Please note that these are guesses more than anything, but in line with the request for "any thoughts"
