Default 1985 928S AC Refrigerant

Hey guys! I believe my 1985 928S has R12 refrigerant, but I'm not sure. How can I tell? And if it has, where and/or how do I get hold of R12?

A properly-converted car will have a label that tells the new refrigerant and charge mass, and will have the right charge ports for that refrigerant. R12 was the OEM fill refrigerant in your 1985 car, and there will be thread-on charge hose connections originally. If R-134a has been retrofitted, the charge ports are quick-disconnect style, with blue (low-side) and red (high-side) caps over the ports.

Finding R12 isn't impossible. I think Roger was handling the small cans for folks who needed to "top up" their R12 systems. Worth contacting him. If nothing else, he can usually direct you to a supply.
