Don't think Porsche was looking for great fuel economy as a priority when they chose a V8
Reads like a translation that was not proof read or edited. After the fuel efficiency comment I couldn't finish it -- from the lead picture on -- so much drivel.

Few things to consider. The writer seems to be writing in the queens English which makes sense since he's from Mumbai. As a Jaguar enthusiast I'm used to this style writing and it seems ok to me but I can see how the use of the terms "comfortability" in leu of 'comfort' might seem odd here in the USA.
No excuse for calling the 928 Porsche first rear drive front engine car UNLESS you consider the Porsche 924 an Audi which it was in many parts of the world. Fact is the 924 didnt have a Porsche engine and the 928 had both a Porsche designed engine and transaxle. Also the writer seem unaware of perhaps the best 928's 85 and 86 which were USA only. Many people are.
Lets cut Param some slack, he's clearly early in his freelance writing career and not clear on some of the arcane aspects of the 928. I think he hit all the major points though and I reached out to him via email with some details.

I think any positive press is good press. While some of the details were off, overall not that bad. Also, technically, the 928 was designed before the 924, but the 924 came out first due to the oil crisis of the time. The 928 was put on hold. Thus, for Porsche, the 928 was the first front engine, rear wheel drive water cooled car. It just wasn't sold until later.

Actually, the choice of the 4.5l V8 was due to fuel economy.
They originally thought quite seriously about a V10.
