Clear coat peeling any ideas ?
My clear coat has a 1 inch circle beginning to peel any suggestions for a quick fix ?
I was going to paint the car this winter but other things took priority.
And now I want to use the car for this summer and not paint until next winter when the car will be put away.

There was a thread here not long ago, same problem. IIRC you probably need a shop to repair the panel, it will only get worse. Do a search, there were suggestions on feathering it, etc. But if you don't cover it with something it will just do its thing and spread.

If you are going to repaint it after the summer, and you just want to keep it from getting really nasty, just feather the edges of the peeling area with light grit sandpaper, then polishing compound. If it has a rough edge, or peeling up, every time you wash the car, the water will get under there, and try to rip up more clearcoat. Just be careful when washing it. That is the main source of additional peeling.

For about $100 you can take it to a Glasurit supported body shop that does small damage repair and they can sand down the little area and repair it. They use a small SDR Sata Jet Mini gun and spray some more clean and blender over it. If done nicely, it can be almost unnoticable.

No, I am sorry I wan't clear. What you want to do is find a good paint supplier who carries BASF products. Ask them about the shops they supply. BASF owns Diamont and Glasurit. I like Glasurit because it is such a fine product. The shop that will do the final project will truely determine the quality of the repaint. Clean, Clean, Clean in the prep work makes for longevity of the paint.
You can look up BASF on the net and find your local distributors or jobber shops.
