Pardon my initial misinterpretation of the thread title... My brain snapped to "strip poker with a supermodel". Only then read some of the other responses and saw that you were thinking about music. Again, my apologies...

Zappa is definitely an acquired taste. Musically educated and talented to boot. Several live appearances in the late 1960's, a very complete collection of the music, call me a fan. Smart guy, lost at a too-early age. One of the few people in the SoCal local music family who firmly believed that owning a car was a serious mistake. Long before Uber.

This guy was a creative machine. 62 Albums from 1966 to 1993. A diverse musical pallet, a full (and short) life of activism, entertainment, and creativity that was simply over the heads of the masses.

I was going to say Superbuick by Die Warzau, but that was released in 2004. Since my car is an '86, this is the perfect song (released in '85, but still S3 era!):

Stumbled on this CD find over the weekend while out driving in the S4, apparently it's pretty uncommon. Some of those Tangerine Dream songs fit the 80s night driving mood so well.
