Default Inst Cluster Wires / Connectors

I used Dwayne's excellent article to remove my instrument cluster and repaired the odometer wheel. However, Dwayne's car is an 84 and mine's an 87 automatic. I didn't keep track of the 2 wire looms that connect on the right side of the cluster and his pics are a bit different on his 84 than mine.

So, I think the loom on the left goes to the North-South (upper) connection and the loom on the right goes to the East-West (lower) connection. That seems to be where they naturally lay out, but I want to be sure. Am I correct in my assumptions?

best bet get the WSM and match up the color of the wires to the pod plugs
You can put the wrong plug on
NOTE look carefully as to a label of ABC or 1 2 3 on the plugs
This is not a good place to guess or assume you need to verify
