Extra HVAC wire?
I am deep under the dash, repairing the HVAC system, when I came across a green/blue wire from the AC switch that was not connected. It ran into a harness and came out into a 6-pole connector, but there was no wire connecting into it.
The wiring diagram for 1986 showed no wire at that position (position 6). So where did this wire come from?
I looked on the 1987 diagram - and there it was! The 1986.5 model already had been partially wired for the 1987 upgraded cooling fan system!
The missing wire from the connector would go to the fan system.
