New owner introduction. A week ago I parked a 1983 Euro S 5 speed in my garage. I’ve wanted one since they were introduced. Almost bought one several times over the last 25 years. I’ve been a long term Lotus Elan and Europa owner, had a very nice Cayman S and a few others. Reasonably competent home mechanic, I have done pretty well all my own repairs. Learned lots from fixing my own and other’s mistakes. After intensive surfing here for a few months I can see I’ll be starting over as a newbie.
The car came from a dealer in Miami. I think the previous owner was a member here. I’ve sent him a PM.
It’s a very nice car. There are some issues I’ll be seeking help with soon. Planning to make my first parts order later today. Here it is temporarily parked in my wood shop.
Thanks for the welcome and offers of help. I like seeing all these green cars. It may seem trivial, but the colour was an important criteria. It had to be a colour I found interesting (green, chocolate, petrol blue). And I really didn’t want to do a repaint.
The rebuilds some of you have done are spectacular.
The car car was imported to California in 85, moved to Utah about 2003, then to Miami in 2019. Car was listed on BAT in March just as the plague was getting underway. That makes me the 5th owner although the majority of its time was with 2 long term owners.
Moss green looks stunning with the champagne interior.
And ‘moose green’ is set off very nicely with platinum wheels
Porsche (and Porsche buyers) have produced some fabulous colour combinations over the years
Ya that's my baby
I miss it so much. I new I would but not as much as I do.
It was time for a new owner to take it to the next level was looking for something on this forum to pop up and FINALLY.
Had a lot of fun in that car and made a lot of Ferrari, Austin, MB owners and other exotic auto owners respect 37 year old Porsche tech was so far ahead of their time with the 928.
I'm so happy that an enthusiasts purchased my car to move it forward.
