Can't really blame them for not getting it perfect on the first try.

Well, survival of the fittest.
And with Andy's stuff out there, there is something for the people on a budget as well...
It does seem like there will be something for everyone soon.

I think Chris 'CMW' did a good summation of the available kits.
However, my take on how to differentiate the kits is by asking the obvious question, how much horsepower do you want? After all, that is the sole reason why we bolt these things onto our cars in the first place. If you are a horsepower speed-junkie like I am, then the available choices narrow down to one current offering.
Compare any of the similar-psi dyno charts (..to this date) and you'll find that not only does Tim's centrifugal setup hold it's own on low end power production (..contrary to popular belief) versus the other kits, but it also has no peers when it comes to top-end horsepower production; the dyno charts tell all.
Additionally, if you're the type that doesn't have the time to shop around looking for 'the rest of the kit', again, Tim's kit is the way to go since EVERY part needed for the installation is included in the kit.

Sorry but that's definitely NOT true. There are all kinds of things not having anything to do with any supercharger installation that will have a huge effect on things like ET, 0-60 times, etc. Driver skill in launching and shifting, traction, vehicle weight, weather, and more all have great effect. If somebody puts one of the bilge blower superchargers on a 2,500lb 928 and runs a quick 0-60 time do you think it means the that the bilge blower is superior to one of your kits in a 3,700lb 928 that runs a slower time? The dyno is the best way to compare because it eliminates as many of those types of variables as possible.

The point of the supercharger, or stroker, or turbocharger, is to add torque and horsepower. So the dyno is a very good measuring point for comparison purposes. Then, if you have a lot of power, how you launch the car, how much you lighten it, how much rubber you have, and all those other variables are up to the individual. Ideally, you could compare these installs on completely stock s4s, or even the same car, and the same driver, and do multiple 1/4 mile runs, etc... As I mentioned before, the Devek car is a good example of a car that might be faster than the MURPH cars, due to better tuned suspension, wider rubber, and much lighter weight. Which does not mean that a Devek stroker crank in a stock s4 would be faster than a stock s4 with a supercharger kit. Dyno numbers *are* a more fair judge of the success of adding additional horsepower and torque.

MY comments are some what biased primarily because I watched Andy dyno his car the very first time plus at a one day Streets of Willow event watched him as he drove five 15 minute track sessions on the 1.1 mile track accelerating to well over 100 mph and literally scared the instructors riding with him with the acceleration . He boiled the brake fluid which told me he was working the car pretty hard . Andy's kitchen table engineered blower system worked fine all day long , an hour and 15 minute DYNO RUN ............. that impressed me much more than his two 10 second runs on the Dynojet . And he is planning on putting a blower on the very brown 1980 so yes I am really biased ..........

Jim,
The car working well on the track for that period of time might show that the system is reliable over a period of time, but it really does nothing to show the power it makes compared to another system. Want to bet that I can scare an instructor on the track with him riding on the back of my 10 speed Schwinn bicycle?

Like Jim, I am also biased. While I didn't have the pleasure of going to the dyno runs or the track events, I did goto the drag strip and watch Andy tear it up.
I've been running Andy's non-intercooled kit on my car with no problems. I'd also like to add that I daily drive my 928 and have no fear of it not working right. Despite the general belief that Andy's kit is for tweakers, he has had his system bolted on under his hood for many months now and has not removed it, or needed to make adjustments. Andy is also daily driving his car.
If you want to be a firm believer that PEAK hp and tq numbers are all that matter, then the crown belongs to the centrifugal superchargers (for now). If you believe that performance numbers such as 1/4mi times are important, then Andy gets the crown.
