Default Sport Group One M471

I have long since known that my previously thought to be 1981 Competition Package is in fact not due to the lack of a LSD.

However, I do have what is known as Sport Group One, code M471. I have visually inspected and also bounce checked my suspension, and it is indeed in keeping with a "sportier" setup. The PO stated that he swapped the origional Sport Seats out for a set of later (1985) seats, much to my dismay. I was wondering what all came in the package. Any thoughts?

I believe until 82, the 'Competion Group', did not necessarily include the limited slip diff with the auto or the manual.

I bought my car with the assumption that it did. Woe was me when I jacked up the rear end and spun the wheels for the first time.

The group includes:
*16" flats
*Rear spoiler
*Front air dam
*Bilstein shocks
*Manual sport seats
*3-spoke steering wheel
*No side mouldings (rub strips)

Mine's got the rub strips as an option code, so perhaps the car is indeed a Comp Pkg minus the LSD.

The world may never know
