Default Hood Hinge Shims

Are all 928’s supposed to have a shim in between each hood hinge and the hood? Or did the factory only install them if necessary for fitment. My car doesn’t appear to have them on either side.

I would say that the factory installed them only when necessary.
My car has one (or two) on the driver's side.

Not sure if a previous owner changed anything, but mine had 1 on the drivers side and 3 on the passenger side.
