Driveshaft assembly problem

The CV joints will fit on either way round as I found out when I refurbished mine 3 years ago and found that a previous mechanic had fitted each side differently. They don’t magically get smaller / bigger depending on which way round they are. Both of mine were quite tight and bore witness marks from some previous hammer action but came apart and went back together without too much fuss using a press.

I didn’t bond the bellows to the housing. So far no leakage.

Thanks Duncan, these definitely only fit one way round so I think there are variations. Re bellows I think I agree with you, never used or heard of bonding in the past so probably going that route
