PorKen. The LED bulb is brighter. And the LED color is redder. These are red LED not white. The white ones were twice as much. I paid $16.99 for the pair at AUTO ZONE. I was standing up just a little to take that shot. If you get right down at the same level as the tail lights it's like looking into a flashlight. As for the turn signals, a resistor will have to be installed. When I put the LED in the socket and used the turn signal it flashed rapidly (just like a burned out light in the system). I'm going to stick with these until I get pulled over. Hey thanks for cleaning up the picture.

Chucker,
I looked again at the wiring diagrams and I was wrong, the rear turn signals don't go through the bulb brain.
Just by looking at the diagrams, the easiest spot for a resistor (without cutting wires) might be at the fuse. Each signal bulb has it's own fuse, so some sort of shim with a resistor could be fitted in series with the fuse.
Did AutoZone have orange LED bulbs too?

PorKen, Auto Zone did not have the amber ones. But I found them for $12.95 each at www.chevychevy.com
