If you follow the pics, maybe this is how it will pan out:

Blue = early
Silver = 928S
White = S4/GT or GTS

Cool, I'll order all 3!!

This is VERY cool, its about time. Just the other day, I took all the sigs from the petition and put them on a spreadsheet to format to start sending to manufacturers. Hopefully this will pan out, I will start calling and sending the petition to retailers in hopes they will pass it on to Auto Art to let them know there is a market. I'll take two or three of each 1:18th scale versions (a couple different colors to keep original and a couple more to paint to match my cars!) If you'd still like to sign, please click the link in my original post. I'm going to start sending it out the end of this week or early next week.

I think there are many 928 models out there, but the one thing that has frustrated me most is that I can get the uttermost to-scale detail from any other car, even the original Beetle and '80's T-bird. But seems anytime they made the 928 they got "creative" .... case ijn point the best 928 1:24 I have seen, is the Motormax. Problems with it are:

Wrong interior detail
wrong engine detail
wrong undercarriage detail
wrong tailpipes
wrong wheels
too narrow
sideskirts not rounded
mirrors low quality
wrong hatch area
tail too tall and flat
wrong wing and wing colour (for an S4)

Yup, got to 300 about a month and a half ago and people kept signing so I let it go (plus, I've been busy as hell last few months with work and cleaning/restoring the 78). The more the better so perhaps we can get 350 - 400 b/f I start sending it out?

Me too! Isn't Auto Art a pretty high quality manufacturer of diecast products? I'll gladly pay for quality!

Here's an update by model:

I totaled a little different then the recap above and several people signed twice so the total will not add up to 336 (for those of you counting along). Fractions exist due to multiple models indicated by the same person.

928 GTS = 90.72 signatures
928 GT = 34.72 signatures
928 S4 = 89.55 signatures
928 S = 73.73 signatures
928 = 40.73 signatures

Chuck you'd better get to getting or we'll all be too old to drive our cars Dude .... Yes Autoart/Minichamps are exquisite in detail, and that is what we need. Incidentally, we definitely need a body kit for one of the popular R/C cars too. GTS Baby!!!

That is the very reason I've been working so hard on the 78 to get it back on the road (or at least so it can be driven on the road if the desire strikes) and letting other after hours fun activities such as this slide!
