Default I NEED SOME EXHAUST INPUT FOR MY 82EUROATM atm

I have a 82 euro atm m28/12 300hp ROW car and need some input on my exhaust. I have stock exhaust manifolds with a dual front pipe cat and dual 2.5 cat back Borla exhaust. I want to eliminate the cat and put a Front Xpipe but I’m being told I will lose torque on takeoff. Any solution to eliminate the cat and not lose any torque on take off.
i have pics of the exhaust out of the car that is now in the car and the last pic is the xpipe I want to install

Your car hasn‘t a cat! It‘s only a muffler.

The car was federalized when it came into the country. The second pic is a long cat that’s in the car right now. It’s definitely a cat

The question is why do you want to eliminate the cat?

Is it causing issues or do you just want to change the sound?

As for the exhaust system. An X pipe will raise top end power at the cost of bottom end by forcing the exhaust pulses to merge.

An H pipe on the other hand will raise low end torque without really hurting top end compared to the factory dual setup as it doesn't force the pulses to merge and lets them flow freely through the path of least resistance.

The X pipe will make a more euro sound and the H will give a more muscle car sound. Choice is yours.

I want to get more bottom end torque and want the exhaust to breath better. I have duel exhaust all the way to the back already. I’m guessing the cat is more restrictive than the factory muffler that was on there before they federalized the car
