Hello all.
Without removing the clutch, is it possible to slather on a new coat of optimoly ht (or Castrol Molub-Alloy paste HT???) without removing the entire clutch pack...?
If I pull the cover and undo both of the clamp bolts will the short shaft slide back far enough that I can get some new grease on the splines of the shaft and then push it back in?

I don't think so.
Edit to add:
Besides, you don't want to 'slather' it on.
You want a very thin coating, evenly applied and worked down into the splines.
Too much and even the 'super thick' grease will sling off and get on the friction discs.
