"Are side markers on the way?"
I don't know about side markers but I have a company quoting me on new rear lights that are clear on top like the 996.

There is no big problem in manufacturing sidemarkers and pre 87 lenses to the sharks.
The only thing i need is people who is interested. Molds and stuff for projekt like this is pretty expensive. I need about 20 orders to start.
I think i will be selling the sidemarkers in the end of the summer.
I also understad that many are interested in rearlights, but for me, it's to hard to make molds for a such product. So please let this thread stay with the front turnsignals.
Regards
Joakim

Joakim,
Could you start a new thread for people interested in the Pre-87 turnsignals?
You might want to include the rennlist email forum as well, as there are quite a few people using that system too. 928@rennlist.org
This is really cool... I just hope you can help our older cars look not-so-old. Thanks!

I have a great idea, how about a web-site for both?
Better yet, how about a Rennlist membership while soliciting it's members?

Why do we have to hassle every person who offers us a cool product with the whole sponsorship thing? Do you guys want to scare everyone away, or **** them off? This guys is cool enough to make something we have all been asking for a long time, and we should be happy about it, and thanking him, not hassling him to pay for a sponsorship of rennlist...

BC,
I don't think anyone is hassling him for a sponsorship...
I believe a rennlist membership is a good thing for anyone looking for added interest from the community. I agree with you that his unique product shows excellent support, but would like to add that a rennlist membership shows genuine support.

You make a great point, but ....
Why not advertise in the back of Excellence...cost too much & this is free.
I certainly think we should continue to encourage & support folks that
create products for our cars, but don't forget the seller isn't losing money
to create these lens ($120). When the seller uses this forum he/she is going to (arguably) the largest venue of 928 owner. Is it unreasonable to suggest that they help support it at the same time? The list is free to all, but since their hawking products that profit themselves giving to the list doesn't seem too unreasonable.
climbing down from the soapbox now
