Lag,

I initially considered digital "the way to go", until I realized how much quicker it is to read an analog gauge. The speed and direction of the movement of a needle instantly registers with the brain. Reading a set of changing numbers is far less intuitive and requires an extra reasoning step before what you see becomes meaningful information.

Supercharged acceleration forces me to keep my eyes on the road, and I want to make the most of what I see on the gauges in the least amount of time.

Yes, I agree 100%, and is the reason I like the colored air/fuel gauge; I can see out of the corner of my eye what my mixture is without my eyes leaving the road.

However, it doesn't sound like you're getting any meaninful info out of what you have right now since the needle moves so little in relation to change, which means you have to stop what you're doing and take a 'hard' look at it. So if one has to take a hard look, then it might as well be a digital gauge and know precisely what the fuel pressure it.

What are your fuel pressures at idle, cruise, and WOT?

Your vacuum at cruise seems normal as that is the same as my S4.

If you're really interested in the fueling of your car, buy the WBO2 unit I recommended to you earlier. It'll record 3 data points per second for 44 minutes so you can drive around and capture lots of data and examine it later; it's a lot safer that way!

You can build a wide band setup for cheap these days with the Honda Lean Burn sensors out there...

Questions for any SC experienced guys, including Lag, Joe Dyer, Andy, anyone else who wants to provide numbers, information, experiences.

How well does WBO2 unite integrate with the stock 928 fueling computer?

Does taking a tap off the stock CO2 sensor degrade the signal to the computer any?

Are you using the Super FMU on your car, if you are, how have you set the vacuum screw on it? eg: all the way in, partial adjustment, all the way out.

What vacuum do you show at idle, at cruise?

What fuel pressure at Idle, at static (with relay jumpered)?

What # fuel injectors are you running, what boost?

Has anyone fooled with the blow off valve setting to get boost at less than WOT?

Anyone got a suggestion to muffle the blow off valve?

I sure would like to hear from as many sources as possible.

Lag,

Remember that the gauge is right at my focal length, almost directly in my line of sight. Its not hard to see! Although it lacks resolution, it is easy to interpret. Its perfect for the application, albeit not very "slick" looking...

Idle and cruise average about 30 +/- a couple psi. The pressure rises with boost steadily to about 60psi. I usually concern myself with the mixture rather than the fuel pressure, though.

That's "O2 sensor", Gretch. Not as long as the combined impedence is high enough, which depends upon what type of devices you add. The fuel-air meter doesn't affect it, and you could probably expect that most modern electronic sensors will not.

Vacuum screw is all the way in, allowing FMU to see full vacuum.
What vacuum do you show at idle, at cruise?
My recollection is that idle is ~18" Hg. Cruise depends upon speed. I no longer have the vacuum gauge attached.
What fuel pressure at Idle, at static (with relay jumpered)?
Idle is ~28psi; all I remember (from six months ago when I set it up) was that static went up over 100psi with 10psi applied to vacuum port on FMU.
What # fuel injectors are you running, what boost?
Same as you.
Has anyone fooled with the blow off valve setting to get boost at less than WOT?
It doesn't quite work that way. The blow-off valve shuts when very little pedal is applied.
Anyone got a suggestion to muffle the blow off valve?
Route its exhaust into the supercharger intake box.
