Hi Jim,
I actually found the VIN about 18 months ago and ran a Carfax on it. The last report was in West Texas about 12 years ago. I fear it may be no longer with us.
As far as the US Euro issue is concerned, if the car was "properly" federalized it would have had a speedometer in miles or in miles AND kilometers. The ZZZ in the VIN makes it a Euro. If the engine was "properly" federalized you may not want the car.
I'll say it once more: It's a pig in a poke until a knowlegeable person does a PPI.

About the tyres - Due to a recent very nasty personal experience, I must withdraw this suggestion! When these babies are cold, they are like butta! I've had good results with Kumhos and Yokohama AVS Intermediates.
