Default Anyone Know This Connector?

‘85 US S3 five speed

I found this connector under behind the drivers side knee shelf. Just hanging out. It has 12v when the key is in the on position. If it should be connected where? Thank you.

I found it on my 78 as well, no idea what it is for though.

I’m currently looking at the instrument cluster schematics for the wire colors. No luck so far.

do you have a connector plugged into the shaft between the steering column and the key switch? it tells the system that the key is still in the switch
