Default DFW area.....I need a paint guy

I have a fender, bumper, and headlight that are prepped and ready for paint. I have the matched paint. I just need someone to spray them. Single stage. Does anyone in DFW have suggestions?

Stuart’s Paint And Body, (214) 221-6999

Not sure if he would or wouldn’t use your paint, but you won’t be disappointed. Stuart did the paint and body work for Porsche dealers before they were sold to corporations that also owned collision centers. If you watched the Gas Monkey Garage totaled F40 series, Stuart is the guy that rebuilt the frame and painted the car. Don’t worry, that was a special car and although he does many of them (ironically, he had just finished lighter repairs to a different F40 when I met him regarding my S4 14 years ago), his bread and butter is basic stuff.

and that is who I would not use. I'd pour gasoline on myself and light a match before I'd ever let them touch a car of mine again.

Don’t use Colormate. It was about 4.5 years ago but it was terrible.

Ship it to KY - see Austin a/k/a Kiln Red. For the fairly meager cost of shipping, you'll get a 928 experienced pro.

I used Stuart’s and had a good experience.
Brought the rear bumper cover from a parts car Roger had and my fuel door off the 79. They matched the cover to the fuel door perfectly and is probably the best paint on the car. With that being said, this was right before Sterling had his car painted. After his experience, I’d be a little gun shy as well.

Details is in Addison on Midway road and they do a good portion of Boardwalk Porsche.

Randy Kara uses a guy In Ft Worth (not sure what shop) and they do phenomenal work.
The shop did Joe’s Stroker GTS (front clip) and it looks stellar! Get in touch W Randy and he can get you in touch w them.

Theres also a shop at LBJ/I-35 called KOKOS Collision. They do primarily Porsche, but also ALL of Corvette world’s stuff.
They are in farmers branch 972-247-1801

Good luck w the project!

This probably does not appeal to you @mkhargrove but I just had my front bumper, right fender and both door mirrors repainted on my '88 for $350 all done by a Mobile Paint Specialist in my driveway.

Call Douglas Kaatz of Doug's Auto Craft 214-502-4230, Been doing body work since he returned from Vietnam as a UH-1 A&P guy, and is the only other Plastic Media Blaster in Texas that I know of that specializes in using Plastic. He's painting the Alfa Romeo GTV of mine which I brought to him a few months ago. A no BS guy, honest and does fantastic work.

I used the new(ish) Park Place shop in Grapevine that's hitched to the Porsche and Mercedes dealers about a year ago for my 991 DD. Was very happy, price was OK.
