Apologies if this has been previously answered but I couldn't find the answer. I have an 84 S2 with the 2 switch seat controls. On both seats the front height adjustment switch only works when trying to lower the seat. Both switches fail to raise the seat back up. Does this sound like a switch issue? I was just surprised that the same issue exists on both seats. The other switch on both seats works perfectly which raises and lowers the rear of the seat.

Yup. Likely a switch issue.

The same motor is used, the switches just send power 'backwards' to reverse direction.

Switches can be removed, disassembled & cleaned.

Or buy new ones.

Had a go today at cleaning the switches. Needed my sons help putting the casing back without losing the ball bearings but all good both switches now working good as new.
