Default Barn Find

i remembered me , a local truck company owner who drove a 928 , bought a "spare" one . I contacted the guy … and indeed that car is still there in the attick …. for over 20 years ! It's a very early one , but in the end it didn't drove long … at most 20 years and now +20 years stored. It had a accident , so it is damaged. ( front , only hope the chassis is still intact ) . I can only hope the interior is in good , salvable shape .. the rest is wrenching.

As i have a '90 GT body..... i was wondering if i could restore that car with body panels of the GT .. ??

BUT my first question : there are no more papers of the car …. can we get a duplicate from Porsche assuming all tags are still there ?

Chassis # 9288100978

Have owner send you a pic of the Vin # under the hood on the right inside fender and post it, many questions will then be answered.

it's a Pasha with a overhauled engine … 20 years ago. ! but yes, the 240HP 4.5L... not my favourite.

must wait till lockdown is over to go see it ..... damned Corona . Hope i can repair/restore it with parts from the GT body , otherwise nogo.

First owner , who had the accident , was the owner of a great well know'd ***** house here in the neighbourhood at that time …. car even has some history

Another option would be to rebuild the GT body with all parts from that one…. seems a lot of work to me.....and as we know, on many parts i wil doubt ..and buy new one… so in the end not a "cheap" hobby project i'm afraid .

Better repair it with the GT body panels, install my spare 4.7l engine and sell that "overhauled" 4.5l.... after i made it running ,check and proof.
Could be fun .
I know the rear would be cut/adjust work… but is the nose the same mounting contour ???
