Corona / Garage Quarantine

Here from the Rotterdam in the Netherlands. I have been in self quarantine with my wife and daughter since 8 days. Our government asked us to stay home to stop the spreading of the virus. Its pretty tough but we are feeling good at the moment and thats the most important thing. I go out only for food and drinks. Not sure how you guys are going to experience this in the USA (i think you are a little bit behind us in the timeline i think). But this is going to be the most surreal march/april ever i think. The Italians have been warning the rest of us for 2 weeks now we are abut a 2 weeks behind them. Today 800 people died there. It is starting to look bad here too. Probably complete lockdown within a few days. My advice: take this serious, stay safe!

OP - I hope you are alright , do you have results back ? There’s no evidence that anti-malarials and it
or breathing hot air will do anything vs covid19. Wash frequently and stay away from others. I’m not on the “front lines “ but I’m a dr and I’m treating patients - emergency basis as per CDC. I had some time to spend with Blackie my 91 964. Small things I’d meant to do for ages. I think i finally fixed the rattle in my FFirst shifter. Perfect alone time for you and your P cars. Stay safe guys and gals.

Still no test results.
Feel pretty good. Cough is just occasional. no temp.
Wife is a nurse and works for HHS. We have precautions in place.
I go from my room to the garage.
Expect that most will get this at some point. Would rather get it early so I can take care of others later.
Engine mostly tore down. Crank travel was 1.89!!!
Now that I have 2 engines worth of parts, going to get a powder coater.

Nice. I spent the day pulling fuses on the 944S to chase down a phantom load. Still have 50ma being dropped somewhere from the battery with everything off and battery out, but I'll figure it out later. Meantime battery can come out of it and add to my shed's battery storage capacity in case the power goes down.

Still just the cough. No fever. Feel pretty good. Would be my preference to have it now so I can cover for when the rest of the family gets it.
Engine got pulled on Friday.
Working through engine disassembly.
Decided to buy a powder coat system.
Family needs to be careful.
As I can tell, that if isn't nailed down it will get PC'ed.

News from Rotterdam: gathering with more then 2 people outside your home / compound that are not close relatives are a no go until the first of june. Basically every shop that is not a grocery shop is closing or only open with special rules they must obey. (Next to every bar restaurant theater cinema etc) Getting more surreal here with the day! Take care people!

Meantime someone on the 944S list posted an answer to the battery drain problem that probably also applies to the 928: The window winder relay stays closed to allow the windows to go up and down until the door is opened. If the door switch for the light is not working then the relay will never open and battery will drain.
Simple fix. Never dull, now just need to put the wiper assembly back in and get that car on the road. Then I think I'll pull the seats on the 928S and see what's going on with all the adjustment motors....

Covid 19 Catch-up
It's been 2 weeks, now going on 3, since my business was shut down to prevent the spread of the virus. Perfect opportunity to catch up on Porsche Updates....
Started with the Race car..... Did a little body and paint work, then Dialed in some ms3pro settings with a new flex fuel sensor. Then tried out E85 with a some more boost.
Second.... Un- supercharged the 90 944 S2 cab. Time for it find a new home. It's a really nice car, but I just don't drive it much now that I have this new business and home.
Third... Replaced the bad idle valve on the 928 to fix the poor idle issue. She just purrss at 700rpm idle now!!
Fourth... There is one last project left. I have a white 89 that needs a intake and valve cover refresh. The car is beautiful until you open the hood....... eeeewwww...

Here's a link to a 29 yo recovered covid19 patient and her symptoms day-to-day. I tried to copy/paste but could not.
It starts with a 102-103 degree fever for two days, then coughing-up greenies - look for her Instagram post:
