Default Manual seat rails on power seat, more headroom?

My 83 euro has a sunroof, so lack of headroom. Had a friend tell me I can gain headroom by swapping manual rails onto my power seat.
Looks like about 1/2” to me. He says over an inch.
I’m talking not swapping out seats, just the rails.
Anyone done this, and what were the results?

Go all the way and buy a set of manual sport seats. You'll gain what feels like 3 inches of headroom.
