Is it known what resister should be used?
Also, is it normal to get the message that RDK is off when starting after the bypass is implemented? I was hoping for no message at all.

Important to note, I didn't get this message before putting the bypass in, I was getting tire pressure warnings.
Will disconnecting the battery for a period of time reset it?
Thanks for your thoughts.

oops I just realized that I shouldn't be reading this late.... So my "just" bypassing using wire might be the cause of the error message? If so, what resister is needed?

I used this diagram to determine where to put the wire: http://www.928.org.uk/content/view/59/58/
Ran the wire, taped it up and left it disconnected. I guess I will have to check it, but would prefer to put the resister in at the same time.
Interesting that I get a different message now, maybe the wire bared itself and is touching some connections in between the #2 & #13 connectors...
resister size anyone?

Stan,
I have just the jumper for years, no issue.
Think someone in this thread stated a 1.5K resistor worked for him. I would try and get that message sorted out with the jumper first.
Reconnect the RDK unit to clear out any messages. Then put the jumper back before you turn the car on.
