Default Fog Light Switch Question

I rarely use the fog lights, but when I pushed the switch in today, it wouldn't stay in (the spring pressure kept pushing it back out). The lights work, but only if I hold the switch down.
Because I rarely use the fog lights I couldn't remember if the switch stays pushed in (latches) or is it normal for it to return to its original position after being pushed in (non latching)?

When you turn on your fog lights, does the switch stay pushed in, or does it spring back to its original position?

Cheers,
Gary.

Turning the main headlights on has no affect on the Fog light switch, suggest you remover the **** (just pull it straight off) and then try it.
the switch can be removed w/o removing the pod, just depress the clips and pull it out with the wires attached.

Thanks for the reply's.
Looks like I have a dud switch.

Does anyone have pictures of a disassembled switch?
In the meantime, I will pull my switch apart and see what I can find, although it may be easier to get a new switch.

Cheers,
Gary.

Yes, but if I can't find one in Australia the postage is expensive from the U.S.
I will try to get one over here, but I do enjoy fixing things.

Cheers,
Gary.
