New 928!

Very nice! Congrats and you are about to learn very quickly. Ownership makes you baptized by fire but so worth it as these cars are so rewarding to own.

Gorgeous.
I know nothing about maintaining sports cars but willing to learn.

Welcome. Nice looking car.
When was the timing belt last done?
Fuel lines?
How complete are the records?
If you haven't already, read through the "New Visitor" sticky thread. Lots of useful info in there.
Where are you? You can put your location into your profile so that it shows up in your 'info box'.
There's a pretty good chance that one of the wingnuts on here is reasonably close to you and can come offer suggestions, advice, moral support and maybe even a bit of help wrenching.
To be a bit pedantic, you don't have to know how to work on 'sports cars'. The 928 is a GT.
But it has it's quirks and 'gotcha' qualities.
It needs someone who knows the car to work on it. Most "Porsche Specialists" (including dealers) have no business opening the hood on one, let alone actually turning a wrench on one.
And yeah, we need more pics. Interior & engine. As a non-paying 'user', take some lower res pics. You are limited in how much data you can post as pics. Using high res pics chews up that limit pretty fast. BTDT.
