83 928 HVAC Not Working and no interior lights
Hi,
I have had my 83 928s for a few years and mainly rehabbing it. Its an odd car. 83 Sex Spec show car.... No seriously! All white suede custom leather interior and once had a crazy stereo system in it. Otherwise stock. I have been slowly bring the car back to life for the last year and I use this forum a lot so thank you all for all of the advice you have posted. I got the majority of the electronics running again and the car runs great but no HVAC at all. I have fixed a lot of it but the HVAC is dead. Blower motor is prefect and blows smoothly when jumped. Resistor pack is new-ish and good. Relays test good. Fuses are good. HVAC unit is a new-ish unit that tested good when I got it. tested all plugs. None of the interior lights work either. Not sure if it's related. In the center console there is a another black relay behind where the radio would sit. Can't find any info on it. Any ideas?

That black relay is for the seatbelt buzzer. Pulling it won't affect anything if you need to remove it. The lights not working are probably from a fuse. The fuses that affect the lights are 4 and 5.
The fresh air blower relay on the fuse panel is 2nd from the right (its fuse is 17) and if it goes bad won't allow the blower motor to get power.
Here is a fuse chart that should help! http://www.928intl.com/repair/Relay/earlyrelay.htm

Thanks. I was wondering what that was. Doesn't buzz and it's plugged in.I already went thru all of the fuses and relays. Relpaced all of the fuses with new ones and cleaned the contact pads. I have that chart taped to front of the fuse door. lol
