Spacer Ring with Eibachs?

George IIRC your ride height is also very low,
raising the height will put your suspension back into its sweet spot.
It should also be noted the Bilstiens I have been swapping in have the black cap sealing cover.
These are not as harsh as the older style.
The older style that had an aluminum cap that were the stiffer versions, also the pistons are a bit thicker on the older style shocks
It appears that the original shocks and the new versions have all seen a piston rod shaft reduction diameter.
This seems true for Boge, Bilstien and Koni

Thx, Stan. Agreed. Ride height was way too low. Had that adjusted earlier this year to something more reasonable that cured the issue.
Bert... I considered replacing the shocks, but after consulting with a few folks, the consensus was that these should still be in good shape.
Even when the Boges were new, I wasn't too thrilled with the handing. The springs have no doubt sagged in 10 years, as the car wasn't set that low back then, so I figured I'd try a fresh set of 928Intl Eibachs since I had them new in the box.
The job really isn't that bad with a lift, it's just taking me a while because of all the cleaning and refinishing of pieces/parts so that everything looks nice. I also invested in a decent spring compressor tool, which has made a big difference.
