Default Issues coming back

Hey all, guess I don't call it the beast for nothing... seems to be all good and stuff and things keep popping up every month or so... then back to normal etc.
I had an issue where the idle RPMs were a little high and the alternator belt was a little loose... had the ignition throttle thing adjusted and alternator belt tightened or adjusted about a month or so ago... Well, seems like the belt is loose again and the idle is back to it's slightly higher than normal RPM... the belt is pretty new... well, I replaced it with a new one like a few months back. Just wondering what could be causing these two things to reoccur?
I did recently have my charging system checked but I don't think that would have caused it? Any help would be great, thanks
