Default Missing condenser top piece

1984 928S,

My car seems to be missing this piece circled in the photo. Is this something that bolts on and off so I can try to track one down, or do you suspect my condenser was swapped out for a "different" piece? To be clear, just the flat metal piece with the yellow label seems missing. (pic is not of my car)

that is integral in the condenser. post a picture of what your car has in it ans we will be able to evaluate what is going on much better.

Older model condenser that was installed at some point. If everything works I wouldn’t worry about it.

Yes, older style you have what is referred to as tube and fin. The other is referred to as a serpentine condenser
