Looks like he's based in Ohio?
We oughta turn him on to rennlist, roger, mark, Carl, classic9....pizza/timing belt party...help him find an 85+ transaxle to swap in, .show him there's a worldwide following and regional pit crew of like-minded antisnobbers. Might be fun.

At our local cars and coffee events we guys with silver hair as well as 20 somethings and everything in between. We have even made the women welcome and they are having fun!
Snobs - anti-snobs? Who gives a ***. The cars range from a Batman replica to McLarens, Porsches, Ferrari's and even a carbon fiber bodied Hellcat! There are a few of us that focus on one offs and ultra rarities. Supra's and old school 2002 TII's even roll in... Got an old Jeepster that is unrestored? Bring it on!
The car culture is alive and well with older, middle age and the young doing their respective things. But when they get together, everyone finds things in common...
Some contemplate that suddenly the car culture will end and that those of us with phat collections are going to be sitting on handfuls of face cards at the end of a Gin Rummy game... I respectfully disagree...
Another thing to consider: LIQUIDITY in the Financial Markets... The Fed has unleashed a flood of money back into the markets!!! Last summer I was speculating that the collector car market would cool off and stopped buying, thinking I could get better deals. OOPS! WRONG!!! Then in September, the Fed reversed course and after a few months I had to re-position my investment strategy and recognize that collector cars were not about to crash because the FED has filled the punch bowl again!
This new round of QE is what the Fed is up to:
Or, as they say: "Look Out Above"

Ok, I'm liking him.
Check out the story of him driving the early vette through midwest in snow in winter.
Has my philosophy.
Am willing to drive up to ohio to help on 928.
He's right about the 944, just buy a driver and drive em.

I agree that the future of the enthusiast is strong.
my son and all his friends Are all car crazy.
this is how these guys are becoming you tube celebrities.... LOTS of people are into watching them. YouTube is being watched by younger guys..
I think that you tube has HELPED the car enthusiast community. It exposes more people in remote areas to cars/modifications there would otherwise never see...
